Kenya-first, pan-African vision
"Building the definitive digital media group for Africa's next generation of readers."

TWM Media was founded on the belief that African audiences deserve world-class journalism โ€” rigorous, fast, and deeply contextual to their reality.

From consumer technology in Nairobi's rapidly digitising economy to the green finance deals reshaping the continent's infrastructure, we cover the stories that matter to Africa's builders, buyers, and decision-makers.

We are growing. More publications are coming. The mission stays the same.

The TWM Media Portfolio

A growing network of editorially independent publications, each built to lead its category across the African digital landscape.

About TWM Media

Built for Africa's digital moment.

TWM Media is the editorial division of TWM Ltd, a Kenyan-registered diversified holding company building Africa's first integrated digital holding group. We exist to produce journalism that is rigorous, fast, and deeply rooted in the African context.

We launched with a single technology publication and have grown to reach over one million monthly impressions across two editorially independent brands. We cover the technology, sustainability, and business stories shaping the continent โ€” told with the authority and depth that African audiences demand.

Our publications are free from advertiser editorial influence. Brand partnerships are commercial arrangements; our newsrooms operate independently. Every story is held to the same standard: accuracy first, speed second, and always in service of the reader.

We are based in Nairobi, Kenya โ€” the heartbeat of East African technology and innovation โ€” and we are building for the entire continent.

Our editorial values

Commercial relationships never influence our coverage. Advertisers are held to the same standards as any subject.

Data-driven journalism
We anchor reporting in data โ€” market figures, research findings, and verified statistics.

Reader trust
We serve our readers first. Their trust is the only metric that ultimately matters.

Editorial Standards

Last updated: January 2026

Our commitment
TWM Media publications are committed to producing accurate, fair, and independently reported journalism. All editorial decisions are made by our editors and writers, free from advertiser or commercial influence.
Accuracy & verification
Every factual claim must be verified through at least one primary source. Statistics, data, and market figures must carry attribution. Where sources ask to remain anonymous, editors must be informed and must independently verify the information.
Labelling
Content types are clearly labelled:
  • News โ€” reported facts, no editorial opinion
  • Analysis โ€” interpretation grounded in evidence
  • Opinion โ€” clearly attributed, labelled as opinion
  • Sponsored โ€” paid commercial content, clearly disclosed

Note: Sponsored content is produced separately from our newsroom. It does not influence editorial coverage and is always clearly labelled "Sponsored" or "Paid Partnership."

Advertising Policy

Last updated: January 2026

Commercial independence
Advertising and sponsored content relationships do not influence our editorial coverage. Advertisers cannot request positive reviews, pre-publication approval of articles, or any form of editorial access.
Accepted formats
We accept display advertising, sponsored content, product launches, newsletter sponsorships, and event partnerships. All formats are clearly disclosed to readers.
Prohibited categories
We do not accept advertising from: unlicensed gambling operators, unregulated financial products, products making unverified health claims, or content that conflicts with our editorial values.
Partnership enquiries

Contributor Guidelines

Last updated: January 2026

Who we work with
We commission and accept freelance contributions from journalists, subject-matter experts, and practitioners. Guest contributors must disclose any relevant conflicts of interest before submission.
What we look for
Original reporting, data-led analysis, and expert commentary anchored in the African context. We do not publish content that has been published elsewhere. Pitches should include: a clear news hook, proposed sources, and a short bio.
Style & standards
All contributions must meet our editorial standards โ€” accuracy, attribution, and balanced sourcing. Our editors reserve the right to edit for clarity, length, and house style.
Submit a pitch
Email editorial@twmmedia.co.ke with subject line "Pitch: [Your proposed headline]"

Corrections Policy

Last updated: January 2026

Our approach
We correct errors transparently and promptly. When a factual error is confirmed, we update the article and append a clearly labelled correction note at the bottom of the piece with the date and nature of the change.
What counts as a correction
Factual errors, misattributed quotes, incorrect figures, or materially misleading statements. Clarifications for ambiguous but technically accurate statements are labelled "Clarification" rather than "Correction."
How to flag an error
Email corrections@twmmedia.co.ke with the article URL, the specific error, and the correct information with a source. We aim to respond within 24 hours.
